How Do Bushnell Rangefinders Work? - The Bushnell Laser rangefinders use a 'Class 1' laser beam which is 'bounced' off distant objects with the single press of a button. The units high-speed digital clock then measures the time it takes for the laser beam to reach the target and return to the unit. The unit then electronically calculates the distance to within +/- 1 yard and displays it instantly on the screen. This entire process takes less than a second! Perfectly safe for use in competition and used by the worlds best.
